TITLE: Level 1 Help Desk Technician – Web Hosting

RESPONSIBILITIES:
First line technical support for Windows and Unix based website owners.

• Respond to incidents from email, web chat or phone inquiries.
• Determine and document problems and incidents.
• Handle site setup, domain, DNS, account and email issues.
• Provide pre-sales support and new account sign up support

This is an entry level position where exceptional employees can find numerous opportunities for career advancement within a high-growth company.

Qualifications:
Grade 12 diploma. A demonstrated understanding of FTP, SSH, Email, Unix and Windows Operating systems, DNS, SSL, scripting and HTML acquired through a minimum of 2 years relevant technical experience. Preference given to applicants with previous help desk experience.

Technical Skills/Knowledge:
• Exceptional customer service, telephone and incident documentation skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent technical judgment and problem solving skills

Salary:
Hourly, commensurate with qualifications and experience. 40 hours per week, permanent, full-time. Candidates must be prepared to work flexible schedules including days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays and occasional; overtime or remotely from home.
